Cummins powers buses in Ukraine and the Middle East
Cummins has supplied 85 ISB6.7 engines rated at 208 kW / 280 hp to Anadolu Isuzu for integration into their Citiport 12 metre low-floor buses destined for Kyiv, Ukraine.
The Anadolu Isuzu buses will be supplied to bus operator Kyivpastrans, which serves more than 1.5 million passengers per day and has the largest municipal bus fleet in Ukraine. The Citiport buses offer high passenger capacity, reliability and lower emissions than previous equivalent generations, making an important contribution to Ukraine’s public transportation system.
In addition, Cummins has also recently secured an order to supply 70 Euro VI L9 engines for Citiport 18 metre buses for Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). This is the largest order of 18 metre Citiport buses that Anadolu Isuzu has received.
Cenk Yavuz, Director for Cummins Europe Bus Business, said: “We have worked with Anadolu Isuzu since 2013, supporting the business both in its domestic market and internationally with B6.7, B4.5, L9 and L9N engines. Our relationship with this customer continues to grow and we are increasing our volumes year on year. These projects demonstrate Anadolu Isuzu’s strength in international markets and we are looking forward to supporting them with Cummins power for new projects across even more countries in the future.”
Cummins has a long history powering bus and coach applications globally, with Cummins powered buses in operation throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
