DS Automobiles Aims For More Points At The Two Races in Berlin

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship heads to the capital of Germany from 11-12 May, for the 10th time since 2015. The classic Formula E venue of Berlin’s historic Tempelhof Airport is set to form the centrepiece of another hotly-contested E-Prix. An extra challenge awaits the 22 drivers on the grid this year as the two races will take place on an all-new 2.3-kilometre layout.

After the precious points gained thanks to third and fourth places for Stoffel Vandoorne and Jean-Eric Vergne in Monaco, DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT head into the two Berlin races looking to score more podium finishes. DS PENSKE is currently fifth in the teams’ championship, targeting a strong performance on this abrasive circuit where tyre management will be key.

Driving the DS E-TENSE FE23, Jean-Eric Vergne (the only two-time champion in the history of Formula E) and 2022 champion Stoffel Vandoorne are on a mission to maximise the chances of DS Automobiles, which remains the most successful constructor in Formula E.

Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:

“After Stoffel’s excellent podium in Monaco, we come to Berlin motivated to do just as well, if not better. For the 10th edition of the Berlin round this year, we have a brand new track layout that will be a challenge for the drivers and the whole team. We also know that this is a very abrasive circuit where it will be important to manage energy and tyre wear. In any case, the DS E-TENSE FE23 will be the main ace up our sleeves when it comes to scoring more points!.”

Key figures since DS Automobiles entered Formula E:
