The latest Combo Electric can comfortably accommodate several dogs of different sizes, allowing them to explore new territory together with their favourite humans. Combo drivers and passengers can travel up to 344 kilometres (according to WLTP3) locally emissions-free without having to stop to recharge. And the 50 kWh battery can be recharged to 80 per cent capacity at a 100 kW DC fast charging station in just under 30 minutes – enough time for everyone and every dog to stretch their legs.
While travelling, the rear of the 4.41-metre-long Combo version can accommodate a whole handful of cute Shetland sheepdogs – without them getting in one another’s way. And, of course, the whole family can come along too, with space for up to five people. If Combo customers opt for the XL version with a vehicle length of 4.76 metres, there is even space for up to seven people in addition to the dogs. Optionally, the Combo Electric can be configured with three individual seats in the second row for complete flexibility.
Upon arrival at the chosen destination, it is time to open the tailgate, jump out onto the grass from the low loading sill, which is only around 59 centimetres off the ground, and play around. If the four-legged friends need some rest and shade in between, the rear compartment can be easily converted into a pleasant play and relaxation area. Depending on the seat configuration, the dogs can enjoy a surface measuring more than 2.20 metres in length and almost 1.2 metres in width. And if required, the load volume of the Combo XL can be increased to a maximum of 4,000 litres (up to the roof).

On the way back home in the evening, both animal and human passengers can even enjoy the view of the starry sky – made possible by the optional panoramic roof, which protects against glare during the day thanks to an electrically activated sunshade. As is typical for Combo, the panoramic roof has other advantages in store: It has a central roof gallery that can be used in a variety of ways. When the family goes on a trip in the Combo Electric, the electric car offers up to 186 litres of additional space thanks to 27 storage options in the passenger compartment and the roof gallery – providing convenient storage for dog treats or toys, for example.
In addition, the battery-electric MPV offers numerous cutting-edge technologies that make every journey more relaxed and help everyone arrive safely – above all, the adaptive, glare-free Intelli-Lux Matrix light. Other highlights among the total of up to 18 state-of-the-art driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control with stop & go function and a high-resolution 180-degree rear-view camera. And the ergonomic cockpit with multimedia radio and optional fully digital 10-inch driver information display provides all the important information and gives details about energy consumption and charging.
