Opel is expanding its electric performance lineup with the new Mokka GSE and Corsa GSE. Delivering 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque, the all-electric hot hatches combine high performance with Opel’s growing electrification strategy.

Opel Brings Electric Performance to the Road
The new Opel Mokka GSE and Corsa GSE mark a new stage in the German automaker’s electric vehicle strategy. Designed as high-performance electric hot hatches, both models focus on delivering an engaging driving experience while maintaining zero local emissions.
With an electric power output of 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque, the GSE models bring a significant performance boost to Opel’s battery-electric lineup. The launch comes around World EV Day on September 9, an annual event celebrating developments and achievements in electric mobility.

Corsa GSE Orders Now Open
Opel has recently opened the order books for the new Corsa GSE, giving customers the opportunity to order the latest high-performance version of the electric supermini. Together with the Mokka GSE, the Corsa GSE joins the Grandland Electric AWD, which produces 239 kW (325 hp) of system power. The three models currently represent the performance highlights of Opel’s all-electric range.
Opel Has Nearly Six Decades of EV Experience
While the latest GSE models underline Opel’s current focus on electric performance, the company’s work with electric drive technology dates back much further.
Opel has been researching and developing electric drive systems for almost six decades, establishing a long-standing history in electric mobility. In 2024, Opel became the first German manufacturer to offer every model in its range with an all-electric powertrain option. The milestone further strengthened the company’s position as one of the industry’s early electric mobility pioneers.

Electric Mobility Meets Driving Excitement
With the Mokka GSE and Corsa GSE, Opel is combining its experience in electric vehicle technology with the performance-oriented character of the GSE name. The new models demonstrate how electric mobility and driving pleasure can come together in compact, dynamic vehicles, while reinforcing Opel’s broader transition toward an increasingly electrified lineup.
