The rise of electric vehicles has introduced the need to
recalibrate repair skills and processes
In this session, Bakırcı Group representative Kuzey Karakoç drew
attention to the needs of the sector regarding electric vehicles, especially
the competencies in the fields of training and security. Karakoç
emphasized the importance of service equipment and stated that it is
critical to compare Turkey’s electric vehicle standards with applications
abroad. In addition, the technical difficulties that electric vehicles will
pose and the opportunities they will provide in services compared to
conventional vehicles were discussed as the key points of the industry’s
adaptation process.
Another notable part of the conference was
the “Shaping the Future: Key Drivers Changing
the Industry Landscape Forever” panel with the
participation of OSS Chairman Ali Özçete. Özçete
emphasized that the change in the automotive industry
is not limited only to technological developments, but
is also an evolving ecosystem in terms of business
models and strategic partnerships. The rise of electric
vehicles has introduced the need to recalibrate repair
skills and processes, especially those required by advanced
driver assistance systems such as ADAS. At the conference,
important emphasis was made that the correct integration
of these technologies is possible through the training and
development of the workforce in the sector. The insights presented
at the conference were to help the industry make strategic decisions
in its adaptation to this new era.
